Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment transactions are processed securely by Stripe. Tripably does not store, process or have access to your full payment card details. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and regulated as a payment institution.

Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, X, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider, as described in the section called 'HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?' below.

To improve AI-generated itinerary quality. In order to analyse anonymised trip planning requests to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated travel recommendations for all users.

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

This includes: Search locations and destination queries; Route and travel itinerary data; Approximate user location derived from IP address; and other similar information. Google Maps uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers to estimate your location. GPS is accurate to about 20 meters, while Wi-Fi and cell towers help improve accuracy when GPS signals are weak, like indoors. This data helps Google Maps provide directions, but it is not always perfectly precise. We obtain and store on your device ('cache') your location for twelve (12) months. 13. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognising or honouring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorised agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorised to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.

If you submit the request through an authorised agent, we may need to collect additional information to verify your identity before processing your request and the agent will need to provide a written and signed permission from you to submit such request on your behalf.
Appeals

California 'Shine The Light' Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the 'Shine The Light' law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. Tripably uses AI technology to generate personalised travel itineraries. This AI processing is essential to deliver the service and cannot be disabled while using Tripably. 17. TRAVEL DOCUMENT STORAGE
Tripably's document vault allows users to store passport information and travel documents. This data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared with third parties. Users may delete individual documents at any time within the app. All documents are automatically deleted within 12 months of account closure or immediately upon written request.

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

Outbound link tracking

When you follow a booking link from your Tripably plan we record that click, so we can see which links are useful: the link you followed, the provider, the page it was clicked from, any campaign parameters in the web address, and your account if you are signed in. If you are not signed in, we also store a short hashed value derived from the address your request came from, which we use only to ignore a repeat of the same link within a few seconds. We delete that value within about an hour. These click records are kept as analytics history and are visible to our administrators only.
